Acknowledgement is a film that explores the indigenous origin’s and history of Toronto while raising questions about our collective responsibility in reconciliation

I was given the opportunity to collaborate with Jonathan Elliot for this project about my hometown. This film was created as a part of the *We Were Always Here* project for Awakenings. Awakenings was a program where a group of artists were mentored by Julien Christian Lutz, aka **Director X**. *We Were Always Here* was commissioned by the Toronto History Museums, and Acknowledgement premiered at the **Fort York National Historical ** in 2020.
